Are you passionate about making a difference in our Lower School and wider school community? We are looking for a committed Governor to join our Governing Body.

You do not need to be an expert in education—what’s important is an interest in the welfare of students, along with the time and willingness to get involved. Your skills and experience could make a real impact!

What Does a Good Governor Need?

✔ Commitment to attending a meeting every half term in school during the day

✔ The ability to attend and contribute in meetings while maintaining confidentiality

✔ The ability to work as part of a team and respect different viewpoints

✔ An understanding that this role does not involve discussing a child related to you (if they attend the school)

✔ A strong commitment to the role and to improving outcomes for pupils

✔ Good interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, develop new skills, and attend training

✔ The ability to support and challenge the school and contribute to its vision and direction

✔ A willingness to join a subcommittee or working party, which may meet termly

✔ A willingness to visit the school between meetings to better understand its operations and progress

✔ A willingness to uphold the Christian ethos of the school

Preferable Experience

While all applications are welcome, we are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in any of the following areas:

✔ Procurement

✔ Funding bids

✔ Health & Safety

✔ Marketing

✔ Risk Management

(Please note: We already have governors experienced in finance, teaching and eco-related fields.)
