About this Role

                                                           We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and caring Before & After School Club Co-ordinator to lead our wraparound childcare provision. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating a safe, fun and engaging environment where children can thrive before and after the school day.

Working Hours 

19.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days  (Monday to Friday - 7.15am to 8.45am, Monday to Thursday – 3.30pm to 6pm & Friday – 3.30pm to 5.30pm) 

About the Role

As the Club Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our before and after school club, ensuring high-quality care for children aged 4 to 9. You will lead a small team, plan engaging activities, build positive relationships with children and families, and ensure the club operates in line with safeguarding and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a varied programme of creative, active and educational activities.
  • Lead, motivate and support the club team.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of all children attending the club.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and relevant documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and school staff.
  • Manage resources and maintain a welcoming, organised environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare regulations.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support children's social and emotional development.

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children in a childcare, school or playwork setting.
  • Has previous experience leading or supervising a team (desirable).
  • Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is creative, energetic and passionate about providing outstanding childcare.
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • Holds a Paediatric First Aid qualification or is willing to undertake training.
