About the Role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic person to join our busy Office team and work in our Medical Room as an Administrative and Welfare Assistant. The position will start from February 2026.

Ideally, you will have experience of working in a school office environment. You should already have a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Qualification and be able to provide first aid and pastoral care for sick, injured or upset children , administer medicines and carry out medical procedures as required. 

You will also supervise and allocate work to office staff under your role. You will provide clerical and administrative duties, including writing letters, as required by the school.  You should have some finance experience as you will be required to manage the school fund, count money, carry out banking, manage orders and invoices and carry out reconciliations as required. You will need:

  • To already have a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification (two days) and be willing to undertake a 3 day First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Some experience ideally of working with children and administering First Aid in a school setting.
  • To have finance and cash handling experience, clerical experience, be accurate and have a good eye for detail.
  • To be able to work under pressure, work to strict deadlines and be willing and have the ability to adjust at short notice to the tasks and activities undertaken.
  • To have excellent communication skills, be organised, polite, and to remain patient and calm and deal tactfully with a range of people.
  • To undertake training as required.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 8.45 a.m. to 4.30 p.m, and Friday, 8.45 a.m to 4.00 p.m. This post is for term time plus 5 staff training days (39 weeks).  The  annual salary will be pro-rated for the hours and weeks worked.

You will also be required to attend evening meetings as required (e.g. New Intake, Open Evenings).
