Are you committed to improving the lives of deaf children and their families?

Are you an Educational Communicator who enjoy working as part of a highly experienced team?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educational Communicator to provide communication support for pupils whose deafness is diagnosed as severe or profound. You will enable students to access the academic and social curriculum and empower them to realise their full potential, under the direction of the IDP Leader. The ability to use your own initiative, working alone and as part of a friendly team, is vital; as is being part of the wider school family. The successful candidate will be supported by the IDP team with appropriate continuous professional development.

We are happy to consider part time and full time applicants.

If you are interested in this position, please read the attached job description and person specification and complete the application form fully, stating which position you are applying for.

Tours of the school are very much welcomed. Please contact the school office on 01582 534000 to discuss a suitable time with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

We may close this vacancy early and begin interviews before the closing date if we receive a strong field of suitable candidates, so early applications are encouraged.

The School is dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and expects all staff members to uphold this commitment. All applicants must be prepared to undergo child protection screening relevant to the position, which includes background checks with previous employers and the Criminal Records Bureau. Those who were born or have lived outside the UK may need to acquire additional overseas checks, which will be the responsibility of the candidate.
