About this Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children while supporting their learning and development in a welcoming, inclusive school environment.

About the Role

You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in lessons, both one-to-one and in small groups. You’ll help children stay engaged, understand their learning, and make progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups
  • Help pupils stay focused and achieve their learning goals
  • Assist with planning and assessment for targeted pupils
  • Promote positive behaviour and act as a role model
  • Support lunchtime supervision
  • Support breakfast and/or after school club

About You

  • A strong team player who can also use their own initiative
  • Good communication skills, especially with children
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Able to support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN
  • Basic ICT skills and good organisation

Requirements

  • GCSEs (Grade 4–9 / A*–C) in English and Maths, or equivalent

Additional Information

  • Safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS, are required
  • Role may include supporting personal care when needed
