Term time plus inset days - 39 Weeks per Year/30 hours per week


 Parklea Primary is a vastly improving split site Primary School on the border with Central Bedfordshire.

 Our staff are an extremely hard-working team who support each other to ensure our pupils have the best learning experience possible. We are proud of the fact that all visitors comment on the calm, relaxed atmosphere as well as the good behaviour of our pupils.

 Our pupils are respectful and get on well together. They receive a curriculum that motivates them and enables them to work hard and try their best.

 We have high expectation of all our staff, successful candidates will:

 ·         Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate

 ·         The ability to respond calmly and constructively when dealing with students with SEN.

 ·         Work 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

 ·         Contribute to the health and safety of all pupils which will include first aid and intimate care. Appropriate training will be provided.

 ·         Carry out a lunchtime duty as part of their role.

 ·         Have the necessary skills and knowledge to work across the school from Reception to Year 6.

 ·         Have basic math’s and English knowledge, in order to be able to provide the appropriate level of support to our pupils.

 ·         Complete first aid training
