We are
looking to recruit an Outreach worker to work with children, key adults and
school leaders to support schools in meeting the SEMH needs of their pupils.
The
Bridge, based at Maidenhall Primary School, forms part of Luton’s Primary SEMH
Service. The overarching intention of the Primary SEMH Service is to provide
outreach support and early intervention to schools through guiding, advising
and modelling approaches that manage the needs of children with SEMH
difficulties within their existing school. The
fostering of Therapeutic Thinking as an approach to creating a culture shift in
managing and meeting the needs of children is central to the service.
Where outreach support at tier 1 is not able to meet needs,
pupils may be offered tier 2 short-term placements within The Bridge.
We welcome visits to our school and service to meet with
our Lead Practitioner and The Bridge team to understand and gain insight into
our vision, values and pupil pathway and to truly understand the impact you can
have for our pupils.
Maidenhall is committed to safeguarding and
promoting the welfare of children and this post is subject to an enhanced
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
