Midday Supervisory Assistant

Contract:           Part time, Permanent
                                 Monday to Friday 12noon to 1.30pm
                                 7.5 hours per week term time only plus training days

Salary:                  NJC 1D (points 2-3)

Closing date:    10am on Thursday 24th April 2025

Start:                     As soon as possible

The Role

We are looking for Midday Supervisors to join our friendly and supportive team to help improve and extend the opportunities available for our children at lunchtimes.  The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic and proactive attitude to supporting and encouraging our children to be the very best they can be.  You will need to be:

  • able to identify children that might need extra support to make new friends and join in games
  • able to help with the domestic duties included in the daily setting up and running of a dining hall and playground environment
  • calm, patient and professional
  • able to model and promote good standards of communication
  • organised, reliable and efficient.

Requirements

Good communication skills/approachable and sensitive.

Active listening skills

Enthusiastic approach to working within a team to support children during lunchtime.

Ability to respond quickly and effectively to issues that arise

Caring and understanding approach.

Ability to use own initiative.

Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
