About this Role

JOB TITLE: 1:1 Support Assistant

LOCATION: Bronte House School

RESPONSIBLE TO: Lead Teacher 

AREA OF WORK: Lower Key Stage 2

HOURS OF WORK: Part Time – 8;30am - 12:30pm, Tuesday to Friday, term time only (3 hours per day, between 8:30-12:30pm. Hours may vary slightly between days, dependent on the child’s timetable. TBC at interview. The working days are Tuesday to Friday.)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring 1:1 Support Practitioner to join our team and support a child within our setting. You will play an important role in helping the child access learning opportunities and achieve the best in their educational life within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 Support Practitioner, you will:

  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • Provide individual support to a child to help them engage in daily activities and learning
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals supporting the child
  • Promote independence, self-motivation, and a love of learning
  • Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and child welfare at all times
  • Follow all company policies and procedures

  • Experienced in working with children
