This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are made subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and satisfactory references.

Safeguarding responsibilities:

  • To understand and adhere to the school's safeguarding policy as well as wider safeguarding guidance, notably Keeping Children Safe in Education, Children Missing in Education Guidance and Safer working practices (GWSP).
  • To promote a culture of safeguarding in our school

We are keen to recruit a talented, energetic and positive person to compliment our existing SEN support team.

At Chapel Allerton Primary school we believe in relational practice and get to know the characteristics and needs of all children in order to provide them with the best possible care, guidance and education.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of pupils with wide ranging speech, language and communication needs, they will develop personalised programs and liaise with external speech and language specialist support. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEND leader, evaluate the impact of their programs and liaise with the wider staff team.

The entirety of the role will be spent working directly with children.

Candidates will be welcome to visit the school on the 3rd June at 2:30pm for an open session. Please notify Molly Walter via email if you are likely to attend but no formal registration is necessary.
