About this Role

Join an Outstanding School Where Every Day is an Adventure

At Ravenshall School, learning really is an adventure. Our pupils describe their journey here as exciting, challenging and full of opportunity, and our most recent Ofsted inspection praised the “incredible journeys” they make every day.

Context

Ravenshall School is seeking to appoint a highly organised, professional and committed SEN and Safeguarding Administrator to support the effective running of key SEND and safeguarding systems across school.

This is a key role in school. The successful candidate will support the annual EHCP review process, maintain accurate records, liaise with families and external professionals, and work closely with the Inclusive Provision Lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead and safeguarding team.

Core purpose of the role

To provide high-quality administrative support for the school’s SEND and safeguarding functions, ensuring that systems, records, referrals, meetings and statutory processes are well organised, accurate and completed within required timescales.

The role will involve regular communication with staff, parents, carers, local authority officers and external agencies, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and safeguarding practice.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a colleague who:

  • Has strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Can manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and care.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with staff, parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Is confident using ICT systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Can manage deadlines, prioritise workload and follow up actions effectively.
  • Has a calm, approachable and professional manner.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to learn and develop.
  • Is committed to the values and ethos of Ravenshall School.

Experience of working in a SEND setting, knowledge of EHCP processes, safeguarding administration, CPOMS, the SEND Code of Practice and Keeping Children Safe in Education would be an advantage, but training and support will be provided.

 The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Support the planning, preparation and administration of annual EHCP reviews.
  • Arrange meetings, prepare paperwork, take minutes and follow up agreed actions.
  • Maintain accurate SEND records, pupil documentation, EHCP targets and provision information.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, staff, the local authority and external professionals.
  • Support referrals and communication with external agencies.
  • Provide administrative support to the safeguarding team.
  • Maintain and update safeguarding records, including CPOMS entries, reports and file transfers.
  • Support the preparation of information for safeguarding meetings and audits.
  • Ensure records are accurate, secure and managed in line with school procedures and statutory guidance.

This role would suit someone who is organised, resilient, discreet and able to work carefully in a busy school environment where no two days are the same.
