We are seeking a passionate, skilled and highly motivated Maths Teacher to join our dedicated team, delivering Maths across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Primary-trained teachers with a background in Maths specialism and adaptable pedagogy are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

About the Role

- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across the full ability range

- Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment

- Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum

- Maintain excellent classroom management grounded in trauma- and attachment-informed practice

- Set and track student targets, marking and assessing in line with school policy

- Work collaboratively with support staff and teaching colleagues

- Contribute to curriculum planning and development

- Act as a Form Tutor for a KS3/KS4 group, supporting attendance, wellbeing and personal development

- Lead Annual Reviews for tutees

- Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external agencies

- Take part in duties, meetings, CPD and whole-school events

 

You will teach 26 out of 30 lessons per week, with appropriate PPA and leadership support.

 

What We’re Looking For

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Commitment to inclusive, student-centred education

- A belief in relational teaching practices to form the base of communication with students

- Understanding of students with a range of learning needs

- Reflective, resilient and eager to develop professionally to support the continually changing needs of the cohort

- A positive team player with strong communication based in a trauma informed approach within all interactions

 

Experience in a special school is welcome but not essential—strong induction and training will be provided.
