About this Role

Vision

At St Alphege, our vision is simple and powerful:

“Let Your Love Show.”

We are seeking an excellent, committed and values-driven teacher to join our thriving Junior School as part of the Federation of St Alphege Schools. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school community that is ambitious, nurturing and deeply rooted in Christian values, where every child and adult is known, valued and supported to flourish.

About Us

We are a proud Church of England federation at the heart of Solihull, working closely with St Alphege Church and the Diocese of Birmingham. Our schools are built on a strong foundation of love, service and community, inspired by our patron saint, St Alphege.

Following a period of rapid improvement, our Junior School is now:

  • Good for Quality of Education
  • Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership

Pupils are proud, motivated and respectful, and staff are valued, supported and developed. This is a school where:

  • Relationships are warm, inclusive and deeply respectful
  • Expectations are high and pupils rise to meet them
  • Staff benefit from strong professional development and supportive leadership

We are now looking for a teacher who will help us continue this journey of restoration, renewal and excellence.

The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching that enables all pupils to thrive
  • Plan and teach a broad, ambitious and engaging curriculum
  • Use assessment effectively to secure strong progress for all learners
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its Christian ethos
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider community
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and professional conduct

This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners, with opportunities for development and leadership.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is a skilled and reflective classroom practitioner with high expectations
  • Has a passion for inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning
  • Can engage, inspire and motivate all pupils
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Works effectively as part of a supportive and ambitious team
  • Is committed to the values and ethos of a Church of England school

What We Offer

  • welcoming, inclusive and values-driven school community
  • Pupils who are enthusiastic, respectful and eager to learn
  • A strong culture of professional development and support
  • Opportunities to grow your career, including subject leadership
  • A leadership team committed to staff wellbeing and workload balance
  • A chance to be part of a school where love, service and excellence are lived daily

Our Vision: Let Your Love Show

At St Alphege, everything we do is rooted in love:

  • Loving Community – where everyone belongs
  • Loving Learning – where curiosity and excellence flourish
  • Loving Service – where we make a difference in the world

We are looking for a teacher who will embody this vision in their classroom and beyond.

Safeguarding

The Federation of St Alphege Schools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment.
