Grade 3 Family Support Worker (part-time 0.8 – 4 days per
week)
Dame Ellen Pinsent School are looking to appoint a family support worker to play a crucial role in supporting our pupils and families.
This is a fulfilling opportunity for anyone who is
passionate about making a difference and enabling families to successfully
navigate living with children, who have additional needs. The successful
candidate will work closely with children , families, school staff and a range
of external agencies and will be organised, approachable and committed to
supporting children and families.
The role will involve supporting families through early
help processes, managing children’s medication, improving attendance and
punctuality, family engagement and coordinating interventions that promote
positive outcomes for pupils. You will build strong relationships with
families, provide guidance and signposting to support services, and work
collaboratively with colleagues and professionals to ensure the wellbeing and
success of Dame Ellen Pupils.
The ability to build trust with parents and carers,
communicate effectively with professionals and work sensitively with vulnerable
families is essential, alongside experience working with young people, families
or within education, social care, youth work or community services
