Hamilton School is an ambitious and expanding special school, currently developing into an all-age special educational needs provision. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Site Manager to join our dedicated site team at this exciting stage of growth.

Hamilton School is proud of its friendly and welcoming community, committed staff, and strong emphasis on professional development. This is a pivotal role within the school, with responsibility for ensuring that all premises and compliance requirements are met and that the school always remains fully compliant with health and safety legislation.

The successful candidate will be calm, proactive, and highly organised, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to prioritise workloads confidently, respond effectively to emergencies, and adapt flexibly to the evolving needs of a growing school.

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in the smooth operation of an expanding all-through provision, overseeing site operations across both primary and secondary sites and contributing directly to the school’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the site team across multiple school sites.
  • Oversee all aspects of premises management, compliance, and health and safety.
  • Work closely with the School Business Manager on building and improvement projects.
  • Ensure the school environment is safe, secure, and well maintained at all times.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and operational priorities as they arise.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in site or facilities management.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, stakeholders, and the wider community.
  • Confidence using IT systems, with a willingness to learn school-specific platforms.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and shift patterns in line with the needs of the school.
