Goodway Nursery is a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School, situated in Great Barr, Birmingham. The school is Federated with Bloomsbury Nursery School, which is situated in Nechells. Both schools share a Governing Board and work closely together, with a shared commitment to offer the very best early education.  The post of AHT/ SENCO  is based at Goodway Nursery School and is a non-teaching role.

Goodway Nursery School is a forward thinking, welcoming and nurturing school.  Our intention is for our whole school community to feel respected, included and valued.  We are committed to nurture-based practice and proud to be Rights Respecting School. We would love for an Assistant Headteacher to join us who shares our vision and values, and is eager to make a lasting impact on our children, our team and the wider school community.

Both staff and governors are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all our children and we achieved a judgment of Outstanding at our last Ofsted inspection in June 2025. Our staff team of highly experienced teachers and teaching assistants work together to ensure that our ambitious curriculum engages children of all needs and abilities, inspiring confident and independent learners.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children, and expect our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
