We are seeking a warm, skilled and dedicated Pupil Wellbeing and ELSA Coordinator to join Surbiton High Girls’ Preparatory School on a permanent, parttime basis from September 2026. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who is committed to supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and helping pupils thrive personally, socially, emotionally and academically.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, safeguarding leads, staff and families, you will play a central role in delivering early intervention support and shaping a wholeschool culture that prioritises pupils’ mental health and emotional development.

What you’ll bring

You will bring experience of supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents. You will demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism and a clear commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a compassionate and reflective practitioner with an ELSA qualification (or a willingness to complete this promptly), a good understanding of children’s mental health and safeguarding requirements, and a childcentred approach that aligns with the School’s values and ethos.
