This role involves teaching Latin across all year groups in a high-achieving department, delivering engaging and challenging lessons while preparing pupils for senior school entrance, 13+ Common Entrance, and Scholarship examinations. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, track and support pupil progress, and ensure high standards of attainment through effective planning, assessment, and differentiation. Alongside academic responsibilities, they will play a key pastoral role, maintaining strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, and fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
Beyond the classroom, the teacher will be expected to contribute fully to school life, including extracurricular activities, trips, duties, and collaborative departmental work. The role requires active participation in planning and assessment processes, use of ICT to enhance learning, and engagement with professional development. Overall, the position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic school community committed to excellence, wellbeing, and the holistic development of its pupils.
