The Governors of Highfield Primary School are
seeking to appoint a reliable Maintenance/Caretaker to oversee all
installation, repair, upkeep, and security of the school building.
School Caretaker
27.5 hours per week, term time plus
training days plus 3 weeks (42 weeks)
Part Time, Permanent
£21,498 to £23,506 per annum inclusive of Outer London Weighting, Scale 4
(Full time equalivant salary £30,288 to £31,611)
Location:
Hillingdon, Middlesex
8
am to 2 pm with a ½ hour unpaid break

We
are looking for a proactive and committed Caretaker who will help us maintain,
develop and enhance our buildings and site and will take a genuine pride in the
appearance of the school.
Following
satisfactory completion of probation, or earlier by mutual agreement, the
successful candidate will be required to live on site in a three bedroom
bungalow, with a subsidised rent.
Please note that annual
leave MUST be taken every year during the whole Winter (Christmas) break as the
school premises closes completely during this time. Highfield Primary School's

The successful candidate will:
- be able to work
effectively as part of a team, and manage relationships with contractors
and service providers;
- take pride in
the cleanliness and appearance of the school at all times;
- have a solid
understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, as well as carpentry and
other crafts;
- be well-versed
in all maintenance processes, and health and safety regulations;
- commitment to
the security and wellbeing of the school;
- ability to work
at high levels unsupervised;
- ability to work
as a team;
- ability to adapt
to changing and conflicting demands;
- have good
reading and writing skills.
