About this Role

At Elmgrove Primary School & Nursery, we're looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a well-resourced school where children are at the heart of everything we do.

Working alongside experienced teachers and colleagues, you will help create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive Reception environment where every child can flourish and reach their full potential.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who:

·         Has experience working with young children in an Early Years or primary school setting.

·         Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and child development.

·         Holds a relevant Level 2 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Teaching Assistance or an equivalent qualification.

·         Has GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).

·         Is caring, patient, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

·         Has experience supporting children with a range of needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioural needs.

·         Uses positive behaviour management strategies to support children's learning and wellbeing.

·         Is an excellent team player with strong communication and organisational skills.

·         Holds a Paediatric First Aid qualification or is willing to undertake the training.

·         Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and helping every child achieve their full potential.

·         Is committed to their own professional development and continuous learning.
