Fortismere School is looking to appoint an ARP (Autism Resource Provision) Teaching
Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join us on an exciting new
journey. Launching in September 2026, our brand-new Autism Resource
Provision (ARP) will support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
and associated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
While this is a specialised provision, you will not
be working in isolation. At Fortismere, inclusion is a whole-school commitment;
you will be backed by a supportive leadership team, the ARP Lead, and a
collaborative staff community dedicated to making this new provision a success.
The successful candidate will work closely with the
ARP Lead, teaching staff, and wider SEND team to support students in overcoming
barriers to learning, developing independence, and achieving their full
potential. The role will include supporting small-group and 1:1 learning,
delivering targeted interventions under guidance, promoting emotional
regulation and wellbeing, and helping students access the curriculum through
adapted and neuro-affirming approaches.
