The department have led the way in T&L and developing the knowledge rich curriculum at KS3. History is the most popular GCSE option and, year on year, outcomes are excellent and significantly higher than national standards, testament to teachers’ commitment and passion and the students’ enjoyment of the subject. Progress is strong at A Level as demonstrated by a L3VA score of 0.33 in 2025, and exceptionally so at GCSE with a Progress 8 score of 0.85 in 2024 and 76% of students achieving grades 4-9 in 2025.
