About this Role

St Ignatius College is a Catholic voluntary aided secondary school providing Jesuit education for boys aged 11-16 and a mixed sixth form. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PHSE & Sociology teacher to join our outstanding team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, contributing to the development of our pupils both academically and personally, in line with our Jesuit values of cura personalis (care for the whole person).

The Role: 

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in PHSE & Sociology that challenges and inspires pupils 

  • PSHE is delivered as part of our Magis curriculum to years 7-9.  Sociology is offered to students from year 10-13.  

  • Contribute to the intellectual and personal development of pupils in line with our vision 

  • Engage actively in school life, including extracurricular activities and events 

  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning 

  • Support the school’s commitment to social responsibility and the common good
