About this Role

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering creativity in a dynamic school environment? Barnfield Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team!

HLTA | 33.33 Hours Per Week | Term Time Only | Permanent

About Us: Located at the heart of a supportive and diverse community, Barnfield Primary is a school where creativity, exploration, and growth come together. We’re proud of our inclusive atmosphere, where children are encouraged to embrace their individuality and develop their talents in every subject.

We’ve recently upgraded one of our playgrounds to a state-of-the-art 3G astroturf pitch, offering exciting opportunities for outdoor sports and activities. This modern facility is just one example of how we are constantly evolving to provide the best for our students.

Why Barnfield?

Focus on the Arts: At Barnfield, we place a strong emphasis on the arts, nurturing our students’ creative talents and giving them opportunities to shine. Whether it's music, drama, or art, you'll have the chance to lead exciting projects and inspire children’s imaginations.

🤝 Community Spirit: We are proud of our deep connection with the local community. Working here means you’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, support, and the shared goal of enriching children’s lives. School life includes cultural events where staff, pupils and parents/carers embrace the Barnfield family vibe.

💪 Flexible & Supportive Team: Our friendly staff are always ready to lend a helping hand. We have a strong mentoring programme for ECTs and offer a flexible working environment, where well-being and professional development are prioritised. Plus, we offer days in lieu for running after-school clubs and extra-curricular activities—because we know how important it is to maintain work/life balance.

Sports Enthusiasts Welcome: With our new 3G astroturf pitch, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with sports, coaching, and running fun clubs. If you’re passionate about physical activity and fostering teamwork, we’d love to have you lead our sporting initiatives.

🚗 Convenience & Location: We know how important it is to have easy access to work. That’s why we offer on-site parking for staff and are conveniently located on the doorstep of Burnt Oak station, providing excellent transport links to make your daily commute a breeze.
