Candidates - Contact Us

No matter what your query, we have a dedicated team on hand to offer help and assistance. You can also visit our help and support section to see if we have your question covered.

From the homepage, either select one of the categories, or enter your postcode and search radius to view vacancies nearest to your search location. If you are searching for a specific vacancy/employer, select ‘Search by Employer’ from the dropdown menu and start typing the employer name.

On the search results page use the filter options to easily refine your search (e.g. by subject, phase, or category). Click ‘map view’ if you would like to see these results displayed on a map.

Click here to register. Enter your email and click the registration token which will be sent to your email address.

Registration tokens normally come through instantly. Please double check you have entered your email address correctly. Also, check your junk/spam folder.

First, check that you have entered the number correctly and with the correct country code. Make sure you select the country code before entering your mobile number and click the Verify button once.

If there is an error message, this will be due to clicking the Verify button multiple times. You will need to wait 12 hours before trying again.

If you continue to have problems, you can leave the mobile number field blank to allow you to complete the rest of your profile.

Check to make sure you are entering the correct email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, select 'Forgot Password' on the candidate login screen. Enter your email and, if registered, a link will be sent to your email where you can then create a new password.

If you are already logged in, click on your name in the top right corner of your account and select ‘Change Password and Settings’. You will need to enter your old password and the new password.

If you have forgotten your current password, select 'Forgot Password' on the candidate login screen and follow the link sent to your email address to create a new password.

Please email us at hello@mynewterm.com from your registered email address and we will send a link allowing you to permanently delete your account including all profile information and submitted applications. Please note, once deleted it is not possible to recover any of your data.

To apply for any of the vacancies, you just need to register an account and complete the online application process. Once you have completed your profile, navigate to the vacancy which you want to apply for and select the ‘Apply Now’ button. Review your profile and click ‘Confirm Profile & Continue’. This will take you to the section to include a personal statement. The employer expects you to refer to the person specification and detail how you meet the specific requirements of the role. Once you have completed the minimum character count, you can then proceed to the declaration and submit.

You are able to filter a job search by vacancies which offer visa sponsorship. If the job advert does not state this, you will be unable to apply.

Please note, it is rare for schools to sponsor overseas candidates if you do not have the right to work in the UK. We would recommend seeking alternative routes such as via an agency. Unfortunately, this is something we are unable to support with as we do not have links to any recruitment agencies.

All schools require a minimum of two references to comply with Safer Recruitment guidelines. You just need to consider who would be best to include and could comment on your suitability for the post applied. These cannot be friends/family.

Think about who else you could include - e.g. academic references, any other voluntary positions or perhaps a teacher/headteacher at your children's school, for example. It's up to you to decide but these will be required in order to be considered for a school role.

Schools are not able to request references until you have been invited to an interview. If you have indicated that you do not wish for a reference to be taken up prior to interview, the school will contact you to request your permission to do so.

Once your application has been submitted to the school, you will need to direct all queries directly to them. If you navigate to the Applications section of your profile, you will be able to send a message to the school by clicking the Send a Message button next to your application. Alternatively, the contact details for the school will be on the job advert which can be found in the same location.

MyNewTerm is not involved in the recruitment process so all queries will need to be directed to the school. If you navigate to the Applications section of your profile, you will be able to send a message to the school by clicking the Send a Message button next to your application. Alternatively, the contact details for the school will be on the job advert which can be found in the same location.
