Our
guiding aim at Holy Name is to create a positive and caring environment in
which every child has the opportunity to realise their true potential in a
creative, happy and secure environment through a quality Catholic education. We
value all our parents, carers and Governors as true partners and educators and
encourage them and the wider community to be involved in the life of our
school.
We
recognise that our school should be an extension of the home and that together
we can all provide the most memorable experiences for our children and make
certain that they can all achieve great things in a rapidly changing world.
Together,
we aim to do this by:
-
Sharing good relationships with one another, so that children witness and begin
to full understand mutual respect, a sharing of ideas and an opportunity to
socialise and have fun as we journey through the school years.
-
Providing opportunities for children to reflect on and appreciated the wonder
of God’s world around us and share that appreciation with the people they love.
-
Encouraging each child to develop their strengths and talents: academic,
social, physical or creative.
-
Respecting everyone in the school for their individuality and promoting an
environment where they may work and grow in love without unnecessary worry or
concern.
-
Fostering a desire to learn by creating an exciting and stimulating environment
where the search for knowledge is enjoyable.
-
Promoting British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty,
mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
