About this Role

Rowan Wood School are looking for a professional, proactive, organised and friendly person to lead our a welcoming, professional, and well-organised office ready to support our growing school community and administrative team.

The successful candidate will be part of a welcoming and dynamic school community, liaising with parents, children and staff.  This role requires a person to be confident with using various IT systems / computer applications. The successful candidate will ideally have school-based experience, a proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication skills.

The successful candidate will be required to positively and actively contribute to our wider school ethos, building strong relationships enabling effective co-ordination of the administrative aspect of school life.   

This is a full-time role.  The working weeks are term time (39 weeks) plus 2 weeks and 4 days during school holidays, 39 hours per week across 5 days.

About our School

Rowan Wood School is a new all through special free school, opening in several phases, for children and young people aged 4-19 who have been diagnosed with autism and severe language and learning delays, working significantly below age-related expectations.

Rowan Wood is part of The Compass Partnership of Schools, an innovative Multi-Academy Trust comprising a mix of fifteen mainstream and special primary and secondary schools, enabling us to forge meaningful mainstream links that benefit all.

The successful candidate will be based at Willow Dene School until Rowan Wood’s building is officially opened in June 2026.
