We are seeking an inspirational teacher committed to high academic standards who can communicate to young people an enthusiasm for Humanities. 

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Humanities teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department. The post is permanent, full-time or part time and would be suitable for either an ECT or an experienced teacher. The successful candidate would be expected to have a passion for learning and teaching, together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students to achieve the very best they can and is dedicated to their own professional development.

At Wootton Academy Trust we recognise the power and importance of the humanities. It is an essential part of our students’ knowledge-rich curriculum, and we want every child to be immersed in the best that has been thought and said in History, Geography, and RE.

Significant time is given to these subjects at Key Stage Three and it is at the core of our offer as we welcome Years 7 and 8 this September and become a secondary school. All students at Wootton study History or Geography at GCSE, and RE is extremely popular as an option subject, with at least two or three groups running every year.

As we welcome an additional 300 students to Wootton, we seek someone who can teach one or more of the humanities at Key Stage 3, and one of them to GCSE too. The successful candidate will join a friendly, high-performing and tight-knit team of specialists who love their subjects and making students smarter every day.
