Hours: 36.5 hours per week* (7:00 am start required) *we would consider applications for part time working, with a minimum of around 28 hours.

At Broadleaf Partnership Trust, we believe that providing an exceptional education starts with supporting our staff.

We are looking for a dedicated People (HR) Assistant to join our central team. This role is essential in delivering a professional, fair, and approachable HR service that allows our school leaders to focus on what matters most: the success of our children. This is a fast-paced role requiring a high degree of accuracy and the ability to manage sensitive information with total confidentiality.

Working alongside the rest of the People Team, you will provide HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including  recruitment and onboarding, absence monitoring and management, payroll administration, acting as first point of contact for staff queries, amongst other HR related duties. As People Assistant, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to exciting strategic projects, including employee wellbeing and professional development.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience of working in a HR-based administrative role, or similar, who can demonstrate our core principles of honesty, integrity and respect. A candidate with experience working in the education sector would be preferable, however if you've got transferable skills we'd also love to hear from you. You'll need to be able to work with a high level of initiative and accuracy, and have the ability to work independently whilst also contributing to the wider team.

 If you believe you have the skills and commitment and you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of our students and staff, we would like to hear from you.

We can offer you;

  • The opportunity to work in this forward-thinking academy trust where teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of all we do,
  • A supportive,  professional and innovative team who will value your unique contribution
  • Professional development opportunities and encouragement to grow professionally
  • A generous package including  Local Government Pension scheme, cashback healthcare plan, free GP helpline service for you and anyone in your household, employee assistance scheme (offering free and confidential advice and counselling) and a cycle to work scheme.
  • Flexible working opportunities
