About this Role

Governance & Compliance Officer

37 Hours per week – 39 Weeks per year

Based in Boston or at our Lincoln Hub

Join Us as a Governance & Compliance Officer!

Infinity Academies Trust is continuing its exciting growth journey — and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Operations Team as a Governance & Compliance Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop their expertise in the world of MAT Governance, compliance, and strategic operations.

If you're proactive, detail‑focused and ready to support strong governance across a large and dynamic Trust, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Governance & Compliance Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Governance & Compliance Professional, supporting the Trust to meet all requirements of the Academy Trust Handbook, Funding Agreements, and wider regulatory expectations.

This is a varied, rewarding role with huge potential for professional growth. You’ll be actively involved in shaping and developing systems, processes, and governance practice across our Trust — all while gaining valuable experience that can open doors to future career progression.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with central teams and senior leaders to deliver high‑quality governance and compliance support
  • Analyse, extract and manipulate data to produce clear reports and insights for leaders and the Trust Board
  • Support stakeholder engagement across the Trust, including internal teams and external partners
  • Play a key part in the onboarding and induction of our dedicated team of volunteers, enabling them to thrive as Academy Champions
  • Help develop and enhance governance systems as Trust needs evolve

This role places you right at the centre of our mission to ensure strong, transparent, effective governance across all academies.

 What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Is organised, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and handling data
  • Enjoys problem‑solving and delivering high‑quality work
  • Works collaboratively with central teams including Finance, Administration and Operations

If you're passionate about making a difference, enjoy variety, and want to grow your career in a meaningful direction, this is the role for you.

 What We Offer

When you join us, you’ll benefit from:

  • Hybrid/flexible working
  • Eligibility for the LGPS pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Full support with your continuous professional development
  • Access to governance networks and communities across the education sector

We proudly and actively encourage applications from the diverse communities we serve.
