About this Role

The Consortium Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Trust Director of Inclusion and SEND (Secondary) to join our Education Team.

We are ambitious about the future – committed to creating inclusive learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning so that every young person can succeed. Inclusion sits at the heart of our work, alongside strong professional collaboration and investment in our people.

If you are a valuesdriven leader who believes that inclusion is the foundation of excellent education and are looking for a strategic role with genuine Trustwide impact, we would welcome your application.

As Trust Director of Inclusion and SEND (Secondary), you will provide strategic leadership for inclusion and SEND across all Trust secondary schools. Working closely with the Executive Director of Education, Headteachers and senior leaders, you will strengthen inclusive practice, develop leadership capacity and ensure highquality teaching and curriculum design meet the needs of all learners.

You will oversee SEND systems, specialist and alternative provision, quality assurance and professional learning, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met with consistency and integrity. You will also provide clear, evidenceinformed advice to the Executive Team and Trustees, championing high expectations and equity for learners with SEND and other vulnerable groups.

About You

You will be an experienced and credible leader with a strong track record of improving inclusive practice and outcomes for learners with SEND and vulnerable groups. You will have deep knowledge of statutory guidance, inclusive curriculum design and effective teaching, alongside the ability to influence and support leaders across multiple schools.

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience and integrity, and a clear commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Essential: Qualified Teacher Status and degreelevel education, with relevant professional development in SEND, inclusion or safeguarding.
Desirable: NPQ or postgraduate qualification in SEND, inclusion or leadership.

What WE Can Offer YOU

We offer a supportive Trust environment, highquality professional development, access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), a comprehensive induction programme and free onsite car parking.
