Deputy Head of Provision for the GROW Provision (Primary)

Pay Range: Scale 6, Points 13-17

Actual Salary: £24,914 - £26,595 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week/ 39 working weeks

Start Date: As soon as possible

 

The Role

We are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified individual to become a Deputy Head of Provision for a Primary GROW to work with children with social and emotional wellbeing needs.

The provision will be based in the GROW Centre in the grounds of Monkwick |Junior School.

GROW for primary aged children is now a well-established Partnership Provision across 3 quadrants in Essex. More information about GROW can be found at www.growessex.uk.

GROW is a Partnership Provision based on Trauma Perceptive Practice through 6 Core Strengths. It will be aimed at students who are experiencing barriers to their learning under the SEMH umbrella. It will provide each child with a personalised curriculum for their individual needs. This will be monitored and reviewed carefully.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

●  To support in providing high quality specialist educational support for KS1/2 children whose needs are related to social and emotional wellbeing;

●  To support in enabling children to make demonstrable progress in their social and emotional development and with their learning, building on strengths and resources of the child;

   To develop, nurture and model positive adult and peer relationships in line GROW’s values and expectations. 

   To ensure that all safeguarding and child protection matters are dealt with in line with policies and procedures and statutory requirements.

   To communicate with parents/carers to ensure partnership working progresses and regular purposeful reviews take place.

   To be able to work flexibly and creatively.

●  To contribute to outreach work within the North East Essex Schools to work both with pupils and model practice to staff where appropriate;

●  To contribute to assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluations.

We're looking for you if you:

●  Have NVQ Level 3 in learning support/behaviour support or equivalent qualification or experience;

●  Are able to make a proactive contribution to the work of a team supporting children, their families and carers;

●  Are able to participate in assessing the progress and performance and recommend appropriate strategies to support development;

●  Are able to establish rapport and build respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families and carers and other adults
