About this Role

Buxton Infant School is a thriving 2 form entry school working at the heart of its community. We have a reputation for inclusivity and working closely with parents and the community.

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and committed class teacher to join our welcoming and friendly team. The position is to teach in KS1 to cover 3 days a week, with the additional possibility of further regular supply work within school.   This post is to cover maternity leave from 1st September 2026 to 12th February 2027.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

·        - is an outstanding teacher

·        - has a good working knowledge of the national curriculum at KS1

·        - has knowledge of assessment processes used in KS1

·        - has excellent classroom management and will embrace fully the school ethos and attachment aware behaviour and relationships policy

·        - has effective organisational skills

·        - is creative, enthusiastic and able to work as a team member

·        - is able to work closely with parents and involve them in their child’s education
