About this Role

The leaders and governors of Buxton Junior School are excited to share with you an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, well-established team as they seek a compassionate and enthusiastic part-time class teacher in Y6.  The post is initially for a fixed term (one academic year) with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future (subject to staffing review). Buxton Junior School is a happy, proud school in the heart of Buxton with amazing grounds which we frequently use for learning and play.

We are looking for a primary practitioner who demonstrates the following attributes:

  • enthusiasm and the skill to innovate the curriculum, delivering learning in new and engaging ways
  • high expectations of all children’s achievements and behaviour, whilst remaining compassionate and supportive
  • interpersonal skills which allow for collaboration with the team and good relationships with children and parents

What are the details of the post?

This is a part-time role in Y6 (3 days Monday to Wednesday)
