Meadow View Academy is situated next to Doe Bank Wood, in a pleasant area with extensive school grounds.  Barr Beacon is just on our doorstep! Our School vision is Dream, Believe, Achieve and all children receive a high standard of education within a happy, caring and safe environment that enables them to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. We are proud to be part of the Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust, made up of nine schools all working collaboratively.

We are seeking to appoint a Before School Club Play Worker, to join our Young Explorers team.

You will be supporting the provision of a child centred environment where children are looked after in a safe, caring and stimulating way. You will ensure their individual needs are met within a group setting, in accordance with the clubs policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will need to be a friendly, enthusiastic and playful person, supporting children’s needs and supervising the play space. You will be required to escort the children to their classrooms following the morning session.

Strong communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with children and parents. Dedication to providing quality childcare is necessary to ensure the club meets all legal requirements. Ideally you will hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in either play work or an equivalent childcare qualification and have previous experience of a play setting, although this is not essential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be friendly, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in either play work or equivalent childcare qualification or have relevant experience

In return we will provide:

·         A friendly, welcoming teaching and support team

·         A committed and dedicated Governing Body

·         Continual professional development

·         A creative and innovative environment

·         Most importantly our children who are happy to come to school and extremely enthusiastic to learn

At Meadow View Academy we are committed to safeguarding our children, our safeguarding policies can be found on our school website - Meadow View Academy - Policies

The school will carry out online search checks for all shortlisted applicants, before interview candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration form, in line with keeping children safe in education guidance. The successful applicant will then be required to undertake an enhanced DBS and other pre-employment checks.
