We seek an empathetic, dedicated, and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant who embodies our theologically rooted vision by seeing the unique potential in every child. The ideal candidate will act as a calm, reassuring presence in our school family, demonstrating a deep commitment to removing barriers to learning and helping children thrive emotionally, socially and academically.
Rooted in the command to 'love your neighbour,' our preferred candidate would be a champion for pupils with diverse learning and emotional profiles. Bringing proven experience in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, they will operate with the understanding that behaviour is communication. We are looking for somebody who possesses a rich toolkit of positive, nurturing strategies to help children regulate their emotions, build resilience, develop healthy self-esteem and learn in a positive way.
Versatile and Collaborative Impact
This dynamic role will require a professional who excels at reaching children wherever they need support most. Demonstrating the flexibility to work across different classes and year groups, the successful candidate will need to collaborate closely with class teachers and our SENDCo. We would like someone who possesses the confidence to lead individuals or small groups outside of the classroom environment, expertly delivering targeted interventions, nurture groups, or emotional literacy sessions designed specifically to support and develop individual needs.
