About this Role

We are looking for an experienced Chef Manager for an immediate start. We are looking for an individual who, under the direction of the School Business Manager and Trust Catering Service Manager, will develop and manage the overall catering service within our school. The successful candidate will also play an active part in deciding menus, identifying opportunities for both the development of the service and improvements, to ensure both a cost effective and quality service.

We therefore need you to be well presented, organised and possess great communication skills and have a genuine passion for what you do. We really want you to demonstrate a real passion for food and service, having worked in a similar environment at a similar level. The role will be hands on, working with your team and having sound health and safety and food safety knowledge. You must also be able to cook.

Working hours will be: Monday - Friday - 7:15am - 2:15pm - 35 hours per week, Term time plus 5 inset days

The Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen is required. 
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, and the ability to implement and maintain strict standards
  
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• To perform duties as directed by the Trust Catering Manager and School Business Manager
• Conduct stock takes and ordering products via the online portal
