Required
for 1 September 2026, the Governors of this successful school seek to appoint a
passionate and experienced SENDCo to lead the Special Educational Needs Team.
What
we are looking for
·
We
are looking to appoint someone who is highly motivated, inspiring and has the
vision to make significant difference to the students at St John Fisher. You
will be able to work strategically in leading the team to give outstanding
provision to our young people.

You
will have experience of working with students with a range of additional needs
and a solid understanding of the SEND provision and agenda both locally and
nationally.
·
This
role will have a small teaching load therefore you must be a qualified teacher
and be expected to fulfil the responsibilities as a teacher.
·
You
will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, manage the SEND Team, staff,
parents/carers and other professionals to provide high-quality curriculum,
teaching and learning and outcomes for all students. This will include
high-quality inclusive practices, expertise on interventions, funding
applications and compliance with statutory requirements.

You
will already hold the National SENCO Award or be willing to complete the NPQ
for SENDCos within the next few years.
