About this Role

Bidston Avenue Primary School is looking to appoint a talented and committed Early Years teacher to join our team in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school where children are at the heart of everything we do.  We are proud of our warm, inclusive ethos and the strong relationships we build with families and the wider community.

The post will be based in Early Years, and we are open to appointing a teacher to either Nursery or Reception, depending on the experience and strengths of the successful candidate.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and how young children learn

  • creates a rich, creative learning environment where children feel safe, curious and excited to explore

  • has high expectations for both learning and behaviour

  • works well with teaching assistants and colleagues as part of a strong team

  • values positive partnerships with parents and carers

  • brings energy, warmth and a sense of humour to school life.

The successful candidate will join a supportive staff team who work hard for the children and for each other.  At Bidston Avenue we believe in developing our staff and providing opportunities to grow professionally while making a real difference to children’s lives.

As a class teacher you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, monitoring pupil progress and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or someone earlier in your career with a passion for Early Years, we would love to hear from you.

We are also part of The People’s Learning Trust, a growing trust committed to strong collaboration between schools, shared professional learning and a clear focus on inclusion.  This gives staff access to wider networks, support and opportunities while still maintaining the close community feel of our school.

At Bidston Avenue you will find:

  • Engaged children who enjoy coming to school

  • A strong focus on Early Years development and learning through play

  • Opportunities to work with colleagues across the Trust

  • A leadership team who value staff wellbeing and professional growth.

Quite simply, it is a great place to teach and to develop as a professional.
