Montpelier High School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our vibrant and ambitious school community. This is an exciting opportunity to teach mathematics in a diverse, inclusive and forward‑thinking environment where high expectations, strong relationships and academic excellence are at the heart of school life. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and  ECTs with excellent support and professional development available through the E‑ACT trust.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality, engaging Maths lessons across relevant key stages ensuring strong progress and outcomes for all students
  • Plan and adapt schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum and department priorities
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress, provide feedback and inform teaching 
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Support the development of students' confidence, problem solving skills and enjoyment of Maths

 

Pay range: 

  • M1 - M3 - £32,916.00 - £37,101.00
  • 32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
  • Fixed term until 31/08/2027

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree in subject specialism
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
