Milton Abbot Primary School
Milton Abbot Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our nursery team for three days per week. This is an exciting opportunity to support our youngest learners at a vital stage in their development within a welcoming and nurturing school environment.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Early Years education and is able to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through a caring and engaging approach. A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) is essential for this role.
Milton Abbot Primary School is a small, friendly and community-focused school for around 80 pupils where every child is valued as an individual. We are proud of our supportive environment, strong relationships with families, and our commitment to providing a rich and engaging curriculum for all pupils. In September, we are adapting our class structure in such a way that our Nursery provision will be operating seperately from our Reception provision. This is why we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our nursery team for three days per week. The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) and have a passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.
About Our Trust
Our Trust comprises 19 schools: 3 Colleges, 15 Primaries, and one All Through SEMH Special school, established in 2018. We are situated in beautiful Devon on the outskirts of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. Our schools vary in size and character, but all are deeply rooted in their communities, and we greatly value these local connections. The Trust was created to enable schools and staff to work closely together in providing the best education possible for our children. We achieve this through meaningful collaboration both within our schools and beyond our Trust to ensure sustained school improvement. Our work is driven by shared values and an unwavering belief that education transforms life chances. We aim for both pupils and staff to be the best they can be, fostering a culture of ambition and achievement. We also ensure children enjoy their school experience through a wide range of enriching curriculum opportunities. We work with kindness, compassion, respect and integrity, modelling these values to help develop confident, responsible citizens of the future. Our core values of Ambition, Co-operation and Transformation underpin everything we do.
As part of our Trust, we offer a range of benefits, including:
To work under the direction of teaching staff but also to be a key factor in the daily provision for our youngest pupils and to support their learning and development, primarily within the nursery setting.
