About this Role
Ø To work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the
direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of contribution
to teacher lesson plans, delivery and assessment.
Ø Provide support for distressed pupils when in crisis.
Ø Support with behaviour of pupils and reintegration back into class.
Ø Assess
the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support
pupil learning.
Ø Enabling
access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support in classroom
management and behaviour techniques.
Ø
Promote inclusion and
acceptance of all pupils.
Ø
To continuously
motivate and challenge pupils, whilst promoting and reinforcing self-esteem.
Ø Assist
with lunchtime and after school supervision as appropriate.
Ø
Establish productive working relationships with
all pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Ø
Develop and implement individual learning plans.
Ø
Provide feedback to pupils in relation to
progress and achievement.
