About this Role

Manor Abbey School is a provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties 
The school opened in Abbey Hulton, Stoke on Trent in September 2024. There was an initial intake of 30 pupils across year 7 and 8. The school has quickly become very popular and we are looking to increase our staff to encompass our rising numbers of pupils. 

Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of young people?

 We’re looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and help students thrive both academically and emotionally at Manor Abbey School.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they can meet the needs of secondary aged children who have experienced difficulty in accessing mainstream education.

Have an awareness of trauma informed practices and positive mental health promotion

Have a clear understanding of, and ability to, manage behaviour that challenges
