About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in the early stages of their education and make a real difference in a vibrant and supportive school environment.

As a Teaching Assistant at Berry Brow Infant and Nursery School, you will:

  • Work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning across the Early Years and Key Stage 1.
  • Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups of children, including those with additional needs.
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all children can flourish.
  • Support the development of children’s communication, language, social and emotional skills.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s values and ethos.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with young children, ideally within an infant or nursery setting.
  • Is patient, caring and passionate about supporting children’s learning development.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is proactive, flexible and able to use their initiative.
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and high expectations for all pupils.
