An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational, enthusiastic, and ambitious leader to become our Head of Physics from September 2026. Working as part of our Science Faculty,  you will provide professional leadership and management forPhysics to secure high-quality teaching, raise attainment and achievement for all pupils, and drive the overall progress of all students in the subject.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the Physics Department, including teaching staff.

  • Developing and implementing the department's curriculum, policies, and plans.

  • Evaluating the quality of teaching and standards of pupil achievement, setting clear targets for improvement.

  • Ensuring the effective development of pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and information technology skills through the department.

  • Managing the department’s capitation budget and resources, including ICT, to ensure maximum efficiency and value for money.
