We are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team here at Hillside.
The successful applicant will work in our Reception class Monday - Friday on the following working pattern:
8.30am-11.30am - Classroom support
11.30am-12.00pm - Lunch support
12.45pm-3.15pm - Classroom support
and will:
- Play a crucial role in supporting our early
years' education by assisting in the planning and delivery of the EYFS
curriculum and contributing to the creation of a safe, nurturing environment
for our youngest learner
- Work
with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
- Promote
pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Give support to pupils, individually or in
groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and
experience a sense of achievement
- Be educated to GCSE
or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in
English and maths
- Have experience of working in a school or other educational setting
- Enjoy working with children
- Have sensitivity
and understanding, to help build good relationships with pupils
- Have a commitment to safeguarding pupil’s wellbeing and equality
- Be resilient,
positive, forward looking and enthusiastic about making a difference
- Have the capacity to inspire, motivate and challenge
children and young people
