The Abbey School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teacher to join the Science Department for 50% of their role and ideally the PE Department for the remaining 50%, to start from April 2026.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Science and PE Teacher to deliver engaging lessons, inspire a passion for learning and physical activity, and support students in achieving their full potential across both subjects.
Science Schemes of Learning are in place with all teaching resources. CPD will be embedded for staff seeking to teach in Science from another subject area i.e. PE/Sport.
This is a full-time, permanent role, paid on the STPC Main/Upper Teachers PayScale, dependant on experience.
The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5k which is split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service.
This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.
