The Abbey School School is seeking to appoint a highly effective 2 I/C of Science to join the Science Department, to start from April 2026.

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Second in Command of Science to support the leadership of our dynamic department. You will work alongside the Head of Science to raise standards, lead on curriculum and assessment, and help drive student achievement across all key stages.

This is a full time, permanent role, paid on the STPC Main/Upper Pay Scale, dependent on experience.

The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5,000 which is split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service.
