We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant, with immediate effect, to join our warm, welcoming and supportive school community. This is an important role within the school, providing high-quality administrative support and acting as a key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will be organised, approachable and committed to contributing positively to the daily life of the school.
The working hours for this role are 12 hours per week, 08:30–16:00 on Fridays, plus one additional morning per week, to be agreed in line with the availability of the successful candidate.

The School Office Administration Assistant will:

Be the
first point of contact for visitors and parents – answering queries, resolving
problems and making decisions where appropriate
·
Ensure
attendance, registers and child details are correct and accurate
·
Liaise
with other staff, pupils, parents/carers and external agencies
·
Develop
and maintain record and information system.
·
Produce,
and respond to, correspondence
·
Support
the administrative and/or finance function within the school, including staff
and systems.
·
Track
debts and ensure payments are made in a timely manner following policy and good
practice.
·
Monitor
support systems, procedures and policies
·
Prepare
and complete documents and returns in relation to admissions and registration
procedures and transfers to other schools
·
Provide
support, advice and guidance on administrative issues to senior staff,
governing body and others
·
Update
website as needed
·
Provide
assistance to the Headteacher and Office Manager
·
Support
the Headteacher and Office Manager in the area of health and safety
·
Ensure all
asset management is up to date
·
Contribute
to marketing and promotion of the school
·
Attend any
training courses relevant to the post, ensuring continuing, personal and
professional development.
·
Have the
ability to present oneself as a role model to pupils in speech, dress,
behaviour and attitude.
