About this Role

What Makes Kings Meadow Special?

At Kings Meadow, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every behaviour is a form of communication and that every child deserves to be heard, understood, and respected. Our school provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children and adults thrive through strong, trusting relationships.

Our Relationship and Behaviour Policy underpins all practice. Staff are encouraged to explore the “why” behind behaviour and respond with empathy, consistency, and positive support.

As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning and inclusion across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons, including leading classes independently when required

  • Supporting, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress through targeted interventions

  • Mentoring and guiding other Teaching Assistants, sharing expertise and best practice

  • Working collaboratively with external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists

  • Contributing to SEND provision, strategies, and whole-school initiatives

  • Using your understanding of child development to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs

  • Using ICT and a range of teaching styles to promote engagement and progress

  • Building positive, meaningful relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

We are seeking someone who is:

🔹 Proactive – building strong relationships and leading with care and purpose
🔹 Enthusiastic – passionate about learning and inspiring children to succeed
🔹 Curious and compassionate – committed to understanding children’s needs and responding with empathy

You will also demonstrate:

✅ A strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and SEND best practice
✅ Experience leading small groups and/or whole classes
✅ A high level of accountability and a firm commitment to safeguarding
✅ The ability to use behaviour support strategies calmly, consistently, and effectively

By joining Kings Meadow, you will become part of a supportive, reflective, and motivated team that truly puts children first. We offer:

✔️ A school culture rooted in relational practice and mutual respect
✔️ Ongoing professional development and opportunities for career progression
✔️ A collaborative and forward-thinking leadership team
✔️ The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children with diverse and complex needs

If you are a passionate and committed educator looking to grow, lead, and make an impact within a nurturing school community, we would love to hear from you.

An additional market‑supplement allowance may be offered to the right candidate, depending on skills and experience."

Closing Date : Tuesday 24th March 2026 @ Midday
