About this Role

Are you passionate about developing young people?

Can you inspire and motivate students?

Are you driven and committed to leading students towards success?

The Role

We are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to support students with their special educational learning needs, remove barriers and provide supportive strategies that enable them to make progress.

This position is 13 hours per week, term time only.

The working pattern is 8.30am-3.30pm Monday and 8.30am-3.30pm Friday.

You will be a role model, listener, facilitator for learning and a motivator. You may have previous experience as a teaching assistant, workshop leader or youth worker or may have a background in a youth sector. An academic specialism in English, Maths, or Science would be beneficial.

The team is well-established and highly supportive of one another. Led by the SENDCO and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, we work collaboratively, always putting the needs of our students at the forefront of what we do. We would love to show you round our academy.

Training will be provided along with an induction to support your transition into the role. Strong personal qualities such as confidence, integrity and presence are sought in addition to good functional ICT skills. Consistent and effective communication are required together with the ability to use your own initiative.

We offer:

•              A strong and ongoing CPD program

•              Support staff pension scheme

•              Use of the onsite gym

•              A Senior Team that are keen to drive school improvement and are open to innovation and creative thinking

•              A strong focus on staff wellbeing

The Four Cs MAT is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments involve regulated activity and are subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Barred Check List and two successful references. Online searches are carried out on all shortlisted candidates.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, or arrange a tour of our campus, please contact Paul Swift (Deputy Headteacher) via email at p.swift@kenstimpson.org.uk.
